Look Who’s Going to RT: Sue London

Sue LondonCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
Hi there! My name is Sue London and I’m writing a historical romance series called The Haberdashers set in the Regency period. (I also write some other stuff, like An American Werechaun in Dublin, the St. Paddy’s urban fantasy with co-author Andy Click.)

Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
The Haberdashers, beginning with Trials of Artemis, is a series of twelve historical romance books linked together by three young women who formed a “boys club” when they were young, because they thought boys had more fun. They grew up learning how to fight, climb, and race horses. Now they are an archer, a swordswoman, and a spy. Who will marry such deadly misses? There are twelve books because by the time the girls find the loves of their lives they are deeply embroiled in a mystery that will affect the fate of the United Kingdom and need help from their friends and allies to defeat an evil cabal. There are associated novellas, too!

Sue also writes speculative fiction, with the urban fairytale An American Werechaun in Dublin coming out this year with co-author Andy Cllick.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
First time! I’m a n00b.

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
Not on any panels and expect that I will be running around like an overexcited puppy.

Sue London stickerIs there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
I grew up outside New Orleans and it is my favorite city in the world. Of course, I’ll be eating my weight in beignets and drinking a river of cafe au lait. You can’t get a bad meal in New Orleans. Or hear bad music. I love everything about her.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Everyone knows me by my cartoon, so I’ll have to wear it as a sticker. Or a t-shirt. Or a balloon. Or…

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
