For the fourth BBAW giveaway, I have a copy of Forbidden Magic by Cheyenne McCray, the first novel in her Magic series.

D’Anu witch Silver Ashcroft knows she walks a perilous line by practicing gray magic. But it’s the only way to protect herself from the evil that surrounds her. After the horrors she has witnessed, Silver thinks she is ready for anything…

  1. I think I would want to ability to cast any spell and have it work. That way, I could accomplish anything that I might need at the moment. I could read my son’s mind, clean the house with the snap of a finger, make myself invisible… anything!

  2. My magical ability would be to read people’s thoughts or feelings. I think this would come in handy, especially in foiling liars!

  3. If I had an ability, it would have to be to move objects with my mind. I am lazy at heart and if I could have something come to me without going to pick it up…that would be nice. :-)

  4. I think I would choose a magical ability that would allow me to heal – humans, animals and maybe even the poor gardens my so ungreen thumb kills every year. :)

  5. Ooh! Ooh! I should answer my own question. I want telekinesis. That way I can get things done and have the metaphorical 8 arms to do everything with.

  8. I have been wishing for the ability to teleport myself ever since I was a child. I imagined snapping my fingers and being in Disney World for the day. As an adult, I’d like to be able to visit my older kids at college that easily and pop to the store for a missing ingredient.

  9. Teleportation seems to be a popular choice, and it’s mine as well. I especially wish I had it when I am running late, and (unfortunately) we all have those times when we just want to disappear; I could use it then as well.

  10. I also have been wishing I could teleport anywhere I wanted. As an adult I wished that I could blink and I could go to Egypt or anywhere exotic to get away from stress at work.
