Last week LE joined Instagram, right…well happy coincidence, Jennifer started a #CMCon18 June Picture Contest. Talk about great timing. I’ve been having a blast taking pictures using the prompts and coming up with a proper setting. I’m also trying to use different books each day.
But that’s not the reason I’m posting today. Well…it is to tell you about the #CMCon18 June Picture Contest, but more importantly, it’s to share the amazing prize Jennifer is giving away at the end of the month to one person who participates – FREE REGISTRATION TO #CMCon18!
Here are the details:
Those of you who are familiar with the #Bookstagram tag on social media will recognize the process here. For each day of the month, one of the Coastal Magic Featured Authors or Featured Bloggers will provide a picture that fits the prompt for that day. The pictures will be posted on the Coastal Magic Instagram Account, and each of you who posts your picture, as well, will be entered to win a FREE General Registration! To enter, your picture must:
- Contain books/book related/reading related items
- Be posted on, and fit the prompt for each day (open to interpretation, so be creative)
- Include the hashtag #CMCon18JunePics
- Has to be a picture you’ve taken… not something you find online
Each person will receive one entry for each day they post a qualifying picture, from June 1-30. Sharing on multiple platforms is appreciated, but will not earn extra entries.
Winner will be selected at random and notified when General Registration opens on July 1st. Prize is a free general registration ($90 value); travel and hotel arrangements and payments are the responsibility of the winner.
The latest challenge theme was “yellow” and I’m thinking it turned out well enough. The next challenge was “Great Opening Line” and it took me a bit to figure out which book to use for that. I haven’t been reading a lot, and what I have been reading has already been used in one of the previous days prompts, so it took some digging, but I think I found one that worked. You’ll have to go check it out (click here to see it on Instagram) and tell me what you think. *grin*
There’s been a couple more prompts since I started writing this, and plenty more to come, so if you’re curious to see the rest of my pics, you’ll have to go check out LE’s Instagram (or look in the side bar – the most recent ones are there.) If you’re interested in joining – it’s not too late! Today’s prompt is floral, so grab your camera (or, you know, your phone) and snap a quick pic of one of your books.
