It’s the middle of July and you know what that means…
Don’t miss your chance to meet over 50 fabulous urban fantasy, paranormal, and romance authors at Coastal Magic next February! Coastal Magic is easily one of my favorite cons to go to. This super casual book-lover weekend happens on Daytona Beach (those of you with me in the north know why this is awesome), and gives everyone the chance to hang out with fellow readers and amazing storytellers.
There will also be a charity book sale and signing open to convention attendees, and FREE to the public. The charity, once again, is Habitat For Humanity. One of the nice things about the signing is that there will be additional authors participating, so keep an eye on the charity signing page to see who sneaks in for the afternoon!
Here’s the official details, straight from Jennifer:
Registration (which is $100 and covers all our scheduled activities) for our small(ish), casual shindig is always limited to 300. So if you want to escape a “white winter” for some “beachy blues” next February, you need to register sooner than later! Mardi Gras weekend just happens to start during our shindig next year, so expect jazzy purple, green, and gold to be a recurring theme!
Coastal Magic Convention’s raffle benefits one of our local Habitat For Humanity chapters. A portion of sales from books sold through our bookseller (Books-A-Million) will go to Community Partnership For Children.
Still not convinced? Check out what these past featured authors have had to say:
“I loved the intimacy of the convention. Not too big, not too small, but still busy busy busy. It’s one that every fan of PNR, UF, and Fantasy should come visit.” – Eric R Asher, author of the Vesik series
“I’ve been every year, and here’s why: it’s a community. This convention brings together authors, bloggers and readers
in such a way that we all get to know each other pretty well. We become a family.” – Lucienne Diver, author of the Latter-Day Olympians and Vamped series.
“[Jennifer] promised me Florida beaches in February, enthusiastic readers, and great, organized programming. Wow – did she ever deliver! This is now at the top of my list for favorite reader-organized conventions.” – Jeffe Kennedy, author of the Uncharted Realms and Twelve Kingdom series.
If you haven’t been to Coastal Magic yet, you’re missing out on a lot of fun. Be sure to keep up with all things Coastal Magic, by following it via your own personal social media drug of choice: Facebook |Twitter | Google+ | Pinterest | RSVP at the Facebook Event.
If you’re on the fence about registering, join us for pre-con fun in the CMCon Authors & Attendees FB group. It’s the best place to hear the latest #CMCon19 news, talk with past and attending authors & readers, plus there tends to be a lot of geeking out over random book stuff. *grin*
Don’t forget to keep your eyes here, otherwise you’ll miss quite a few of those #CMCon19 Authors taking their characters, and introducing us to their worlds, while AT THE BEACH.
