Once Bitten

I know I’m late with this, but I have idea where yesterday went. I had just laid my son down for the night and I realized that I hadn’t announced the winner for the John Marco contest.  Well, I’m fixing that oversight now.  We have a winner and the name that the Research Randomizer chose was David Reed!  Congratulations! So David, make sure you get your info to me and I’ll pass it along to John.

Have you ever seen a title and became instantly interested? That happened when I saw Kalayna Price’s novel, Once Bitten, over at Vampire Wire.  According to Kalayna’s website, the novel is due out something this month, but I can’t seem to find it on Amazon or Barnes & Noble.  If anyone comes across it, I would really like to hear what you have to say.

I just saw that Maria Snyder’s second novel in her new Glass series will be out in September 2009.  The title will be Sea Glass.  That’s about all I’ve been able to find out at the moment.

OMG! OMG!  Fangirl scream.  Jeaniene Frost is giving away an ARC of At Grave’s End over at Paranormality Universe.  If you’re like me, and you’re dying to get your hands on a copy, then head over there TODAY.  The contest runs today only, so you don’t have that much time.

Rachel Vincent has uploaded an excerpt for Pride.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. You know what, I have Moonstone and Bite Me sitting on my desk, waiting for me to review. I just went back to the email the publisher (Belle Bridge Books) sent me, and she was going to send me this one as well. Now I”m excited. I think I’m going to put down what I was planning on starting and pick one of these up instead.

  2. Actually, Once Bitten is not YA. It is Urban Fantasy though. I’m really looking forward to it. Kalayna announced on her blog the other day that the release got pushed back, so I guess I’ll have to wait a little longer.
