Book Bloggers Top 10 of 2008!

For Weekly Geeks #19, Dewey had instructed us to pick our top 10 books that were published 2008. The plan was to have everyone contribute their lists and then figure out what the top 10 picks were.  Well, 69 different book reviewer bloggers responded and we ended up with over 300 books nominated.  Needless to say, there were a ton of “1 voted” nominations.

For the last two weeks, those 332 books were up on the block and the call went out to all readers to come and cast their vote.

With over 16 different genres represented, there were a ton of options to chose from.  In fact, there were over 1300 individual voters who cast a vote, so there’s no question about it…the readers have spoken.  Here are the results of the first Book Bloggers Top 10 of 2008!  (on a side note, if you want to know which books out of all 332 were voted on the most, stick around to the end).

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. This is an awesome collection of top ten list, you should post this to my buddy’s site http://www.toptentopten.com/ and you can link back to your site. They are looking for content and in return provide a user base that can track back to your site. The coolest feature is you can let other people vote on the rankings of your list.
