Check out the shiny that Tez posted. It’s the cover for Patricia Brigg’s second Alpha & Omega novel, Hunting Ground.  The only place she found it was on Facebook, so who knows if it’s the official cover or not, but it’s still something to admire.  Dan dos Santos has done the covers for the Mercy and A&O novels in the past and I haven’t seen anything on his site yet.

Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist has this week’s NY Times bestsellers.

Stainless Steel Droppings takes a look at the covers from some of last years science fiction bestsellers.  He is definitely right when he says we can’t judge a book by it’s cover.  There is some amazing artwork over there.

I also have to thank Carl for showing this to me.  It’s a directory of various book covers over at Locus Magazine.  Right now, the link takes you to the 2008 edition, but they have covers as early as 2002.  I’m going to have to go looking.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Thanks for the link. I was so glad when someone sent me that link to the Locus site last year (and also glad that I someone was able to point me that way again this year since I had forgotten where to find it!). It is a great genre directory for the years it covers.

The newest (potential) image for Patricia Briggs is great.
