Before we get to the winners for the Laurie London, Allison Pang and Judi Fennell contests, I just wanted to give everyone a little heads up. Literary Escapism celebrated 3 years in December and I haven’t really celebrated it yet. I want to, and I do have something in mind, so keep on the lookout for a contest. It’ll be coming soon, I promise. I just need to get the time to write it up (Psy really needs to nap longer *grin*). Also, don’t forget about the NA Mini Challenge featuring Steampunk this month. I’m giving away a novel from the prize stack I have sitting in my office and there are some gems in it.
As a reminder, I determined the winners by inputting all the entries into the List Randomizer, scrambling it up a couple of times, and then had the Research Randomizer pick a number.
Now on to the winners….
Laurie London
I had the wonderful Laurie London on Literary Escapism talking about which character she would love to write herself as. While she was here, we gave away a copy of the Bonded by Blood. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: If you could write yourself in as a character from a book, who would you choose and why?. Now, without further ado, the winner is:
jen7waters (from Cuidado com o Dálmata) who said: I would love to be some kind of character with power over a natural element – preferably water, it’s just so cool! *laughs* But shapeshifting would be my second choice. Something with wings. A cute little sparrow perhaps.
Congratulations jen7waters!
Allison Pang
I had the fabulous Allison Pang on Literary Escapism talking about writing fantasy. While she was here, we gave away a copy of the A Brush of Darkness. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What are some of your reasons for escaping into fantasy?. Now, without further ado, the winner is:
JenM who said: The news in the real world is just too depressing for me. That’s why I like to read fantasy – I know those elements aren’t real so they don’t make me more depressed. Plus, who doesn’t want to imagine that magic really exists. I’d probably run screaming if I actually met any of these creatures, but it’s still fun to think about them. This book definitely sounds like one I’d want to read.
Congratulations JenM!
Judi Fennell
I had the fabulous Judi Fennell on Literary Escapism talking about her love of reading. While she was here, we gave away two copies of the I Dream of Genies. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: In the situation described about, WWYD? (What Would You Do?). Now, without further ado, the winner is:
Pam S who said: I really enjoyed the first series and looknig forward to the Genie series :)! I have no idea what I’d do in the situation – but it sounds like luck I’d have lol … sooo I guess I’d just suck it up and hope for the best.
Meredith M who said: I’d probably pretend the flowers were there the whole time and say something like “Lilacs always did give me hiccups!” and be glad the baby dragon didn’t appear!
Congratulations Pam S and Meredith M!
Yeah! Thanks so much. I can’t wait to read A Brush of Darkness. The snarky unicorn sounds fantastic LOL.
Yay! One Bonded by Blood for me! thank you :)
