Vampires, Werewolves, Oh Yea!

Blog Critics Magazine has an interview with Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, author of the Saint-Germain series. Her novels broke away from the image of popular vampire fiction (aka Dracula) and started the trend for what we know as vampire romance today. Vyrdolak of Blog Critics also reviewed Lost Prince and The Saint-Germain Memoirs.

Has anyone heard of Sarwat Chadda? She’s currently writing her second novel, currently called The Dark Goddess, and it supposedly involves a lot of werewolves. Her novel is focusing on the Russian myth about the Russian witch Baba Yaga, so I’m curious about it. She’s not published yet, but hopefully she will be soon. I love reading about different mythologies, and since I’m unfamiliar with this one, I’m hoping it will be a good read. Although, I’m wondering if she has tried putting anything up at Lulu.

I’m not sure if anyone lives in the St. Louis listening area, but Laurell K Hamilton will be a guest on the John Carney Show & KMOX AM radio next week. You may listen over the Internet at: http://www.kmox.com/The-Carney-Show/1670961

Found something interesting…Fantasy Girl over at Best Fantasy Stories just created a crossword puzzle using the names of some of the bestselling urban Fantasy authors.

Amber reviews The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox. She has a more detailed review up at Paranormal Romance; however, at the time of posting, I couldn’t find it. So if anyone does, could you let me know.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
