Are you planning on going to the Book Expo America? Want to know who else will be going? Dark Faerie Tales is currently showcasing various authors who will be roaming the Expo in New York City at the end of the month. Here’s who will be there: Amy Garvey, Leah Clifford and Scott Tracey.
Kim Harrison has announced the title for the tenth Rachel Morgan novel. Hopefully soon, we’ll be able to read A Perfect Blood. Does anyone know what the tentative date for it is? I’m going to guess February 2012 since they’ve been coming out in February the last couple years.
Here are only two of many fabulous covers that have been popping up. For all the new covers, I’ve added them to the FB album for your viewing pleasure.
Cailtin Kittredge has announced the title to her third Iron Codex novel. The expected publication date for The Nightmare Garden is February 14, 2012, which is also the scheduled release for the paperback edition of The Iron Thorn.
Devon Monk has announced (or maybe she did it awhile ago) the title for the next Allie Beckstrom novel. We’ll get a chance to read Magic on the Line this November. For those who can’t wait until then, Monk is giving away the first chapter to everyone who preorders Magic on the Hunt from Powell’s.
From the moment she was bound by magic and transformed into a deadly warrior, Max dreamed of escape. Instead she went to war. She saved the coven she was enslaved to defend from unearthly destruction, but only at the cost of her own freedom. Now Max has been taken captive and forced to become the champion of a demi-god in a deadly game where the losers die, or worse. She must perform three impossible tasks, each one more dangerous than the last. Alone and unarmed in a strange magical city, Max will battle creatures she’s never even heard of. If she loses, she dies. If she wins, she might just get a chance to go home to her friends, her family, and to Alexander, the sexy Shadowblade warrior whose fate is entwined with hers.
But Horngate’s own future is far from certain. The covenstead is threatened by a Fury—a creature that, once it escapes its fragile bonds, will wreak untold destruction. Will Alexander and the other Shadowblades be able to protect Horngate without Max? Or will Max discover that she doesn’t have a home to return to?
