Swag Bag Contest

During the first weekend of June, Lori Foster and Dianne Castell host the Annual Author/Reader Get Together, and Jesse and I ended up going to this year (if you want to see the few pics I got, click here). The hubby actually registered for a author/readers con – one that was heavily populated with romance authors. Needless to say, I owe the hubby a lot for going with me, especially considering he also got all the perks for registering and is letting me give them away here on the site.

Swag Contest 6/14That’s right. I have two fabulous swag prize packs that are just dying to find a home that will love and cherish them since the hubby will not. *grin* I have two bundles I’m giving away.  The first one includes:

  1. All sorts of promotional items from a wide range of authors that attended the Get Together (as well as bookmarks, trading cards, etc)
  2. An official Annual Author/Reader Get Together bag
  3. A copy of the Trick or Treat Anthology
  4. A copy of Fatal Vision by Monette Michaels
  5. A signed copy of Angie Fox’s A Tale of Two Demon Slayers.

Swag Contest 6/14The second bundle includes:

  1. A few promotional items from a wide range of authors that attended the Get Together (as well as bookmarks, trading cards, etc)
  2. An author bag that is as yet undetermined.
  3. A copy of The Case of the Virtuous Vampire by Monette Michaels
  4. An ARC of Wickedly Charming by Kristine Grayson
  5. A signed sampler of the Sinful Sensations anthology.

Disclaimer: Each bundle consists of anything I had two of, with any single items going to the first prize.  Bookmarks, trading cards and a few other paper items are not shown.

Would you like to get your hands on one of these prize packages?  To enter, all you have to do is answer this one question: If you could only make it to one reader conference, which one would you go to and why? Remember, you must answer the question in order to be entered.

As always, there’s more ways of getting your name in the hat (remember, these aren’t mandatory to enter, just extra entries):

  • +1 to any review you comment on, however, comments must be meaningful. Just give me the title of the review and I’ll be able to figure it out from there.
  • +1 If you are a follower of Literary Escapism on Facebook and/or Twitter
  • +10 Purchase any novel through LE’s Amazon store or the Book Depository sometime during this contest and send a copy of the receipt VIA email for your purchase to: jackie AT literaryescapism DOT com. Each purchase is worth ten entries.

The winner must post a review of the novel someplace. Whether it is on their own blog, Amazon, GoodReads, LibraryThing or wherever, it doesn’t matter. Just help get the word out.

The contest will stay open until June 29th, at which time I’ll determine the winner with help from the Research Randomizer and the List Randomizer.

I have not been contacting winners, so you will need to check back to see if you’ve won.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. Wow, this is hard to answer because I would love to go to all that I could. If I had to choose, I would go to RT Book Lovers Convention. I would go to RT because I would get a chance to see a lot of my favorite authors in one locations. I would get to my Lori Foster, Brenda Jackson, Dianne Castell, Sylvia Day, Kate Douglas and many more.

  2. I want to go to Romantic Times SOOOOOOOO bad! I’m acutally trying to save the money up to go next year!

P.S. I am jealous of all your pics & they awesome time you had ;)

  3. I really, really would like to go to the Romantic Times convention also. One day I will get to go. I would enjoy getting to meet the authors that have given me so many hours of enjoyment with the stories they have written. Thank you for doing this giveaway. You are very sweet for doing it.

  4. I have heard so much about RT that I would really love to attend it just to meet all of the authors and readers who attend.

  5. I would love to go to RomCon 2011 in Denver. It is close to home. I would like to meet some of the authors that I spend hours reading!

  6. If I could go to a reader conference it would Authors after Dark, has a gathering of great authors that I would love to meet. I wish they had something in the Delawarw area

  8. If I could get to America I would go to RT so that I could meet as many of my auto buy authors as possible :D

  9. I guess I would pick RT as well since that’s a reader’s conference. Went in 2010, and Jackie, I think I stood next to you in Charlaine Harris’ line. For I think I recall seeing Literary Escapism on your badge!! Looooved RT, it was my first time there and I had a blast! Planning on going next year, so hopefully I can find a job soon!

I also wouldn’t mind being able to attend BEA, but that’s more of a blogger one than reader!

  10. I would love to go to RT, that seems like the biggest book convention and has hundreds of different authors.

  12. I really want to go to BEA. It seems to sneak up on me every year, and then it’s too late. So this year I’m gonna start saving early and write it on the calendar, and do everything I can so that I don’t forget until it comes back around next spring.

  13. I’d love to go to the RT convention because I’ve never gone before and I’d love to meet some of my favorite authors.

  14. I would love to go to Romantic Times. There are so many great authors that go to that one that I’d love to meet. I’d be like a kid in the candy store!

  15. I’d go to the RWA conference if I had the chance. It would be super cool to meet all the authors that I love and have blogged about. The problem isn’t just money though, although that is a biggie, it’s that I’m terribly shy and not very good at meeting new people. I can’t imagine being able to discuss books with any sort of coherency because everything just goes all jumbled in my brain. When I went to the Charlaine Harris signing last year I was mortified when she asked me a question and I’m pretty sure I just mumbled a quick thank you ma’am and scurried off. She probably thought I was a deranged fan. Can you imagine how boggled I’d be in a room full of authors?

  16. RT beause most of the authors i read would be there and i’d give any thing to meet them if i could.

  17. I would love love love to go to RomCon… Usually ALL my faves are there. But alas, it is so. Far. Away. Blargh… RWA is the closest and it falls this year on a weekend I have not one, but two weddings I’m in. /sad.

  18. I would like to go to the RT because iv never been and i would love to go
