Can you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m the author of four books in the BLACK WINGS series for Ace – BLACK WINGS, BLACK NIGHT, BLACK HOWL, and BLACK LAMENT (forthcoming 10/31/12).
When I’m not writing or chasing my five-year-old son, I like to read, run long distances, go to Costco and eat giant cinnamon rolls.

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
The BLACK WINGS series takes place in modern-day Chicago. Madeline Black is an Agent of death, which means that she ferries the souls of the dead to a place called the Door. In the first novel, she discovers that she’s the daughter of a fallen angel, which creates a whole new set of complications for her.
Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This is my first RT, so I would like to get some advice :)
Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I am scheduled to be on the ” URBAN FANTASY: Kick-Ass Characters that Make Us Keep Coming Back For More ” (FRIDAY, 2:45-3:45) panel with Charlaine Harris, Chloe Neill, Jeanne C. Stein and Jeanine Frost. I couldn’t be more excited about this lineup, as I am a huge fan of all of them!
I hope to attend some of the other SF/Fantasy panels, especially anything that has to do with steampunk.
If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
I am very short, with short dark hair and I like to wear red!
