Reading…

I’ve been a little behind on posting the various interviews I’ve come a crossed, but never fear, I have kept tabs on where they were so I could get to them. So without further waiting, here are a few of the gems that have popped up…

  • Kathryn Smith, author of the Brotherhood of the Blood series, by Dear Author
  • Angie Fox, author of The Accidental Demon Slayer, by Novel Reads
  • Earl Staggs, author of Memory of a Murder, at Bitten by Books
  • Kerrelyn Sparks, author of the Love at Stake series, by Talk About My Favorite Authors
  • Elizabeth C. Bunce, author of A Curse Dark as Gold, by Fantasy Debut
  • Yasmine Galenorn, author of the D’Artigo Sisters series, by Fangs, Fur, & Fey
  • David Louis Edelman, author of Infoquake and Multireal, by Jeri Smith-Ready

I just finished reading Marta Acosta’s Midnight Brunch, book two in her Casa Dracula series. Her third novel, The Bride of Casa Dracula, comes out in September so if you haven’t checked out this series yet, then get to it. It’s easier to catch up with two books than three.

Currently, I’m reading the entire Hell on Earth series courtesy of Jackie Kessler. She sent me a copy of her latest novel, Hotter Than Hell, to review and when she heard I haven’t read the first two, she included those ones as well. I’m already about halfway through the first novel, Hell’s Belles, and I’m really enjoying it. It seems to be setting up the series and it’s doing a fantastic job. I’ll probably finish it this weekend as long as nothing breaks at the house, so keep an eye out for the review. Once I get through the series, Jackie has graciously agreed to being my first interview victim. So keep a lookout for that and if anyone has any questions they are dying to get answered, let me know. Since this is my first interview, I’m kind of blind on what to ask (and a little nervous), so suggestions will be appreciated.

Amberkatze has a contest running for a copy of Dakota Cassidy’s The Accidental Werwolf (signed) and Accidentally Dead. She’s going to be drawing two lucky winners, one for each novel. So if you haven’t checked out her interview with Ms. Cassidy yet or read her review of the novels, then I would head over there because the contest ends in 2 days. I’ve entered in, have you?

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
