It’s Late…Time For Bed…Sweet Dreams!

I am so not familiar with Delilah Devlin, but the third book in her Dark Realm series, Darkness Burning, has a gorgeous cover.  Darkness Burning is due to release from Tor.  Kmont has the blurbage for this novel and many more over at her site, so make sure you head over and check it out.

Check out what SciFiGuy found.  Deep Kiss of Winter is a new duology featuring stories by Kresley Cole and Gena Showalter that releases October 13, 2009 (supposedly). SciFiGuy has more info, so make sure you check it out.

Interviews:

So not book related, but doesn’t this recipe by Colleen Gleason sound good?  It’s healthy and sweet and I think I’m going to have to try it.

Big thank you goes to Ashley over at Bibliophiles R Us, who gave Literary Escapism this snazzy new award.

The Literary Blogger Award acknowledges bloggers who energize and inspire reading by going the extra mile! These amazing bloggers make reading fun, and enhance the delight of reading!

This made my day when I saw it.  The last two weeks have been throwing everything they got at me and this reminded me that it is all worth it.  So thank you Ashley.  Now, one of the best parts is I get to spread the love and give this out to 9 other blogs.  If it wasn’t for Amberkatze’s Book Blog, Darque Reviews, SciFiGuy, Lurv à la Mode, Tez Says, Alpha Heroes, Vampire Wire and Suburban Vampire, I so wouldn’t get my PNR fix in as often as I want.  These are some great sites and everyone should be checking them out.  However, that’s only eight sites.  I’m saving my last nomination for a group of readers who have not only overloaded my TBR list, but continue to do so on a daily basis.  I’m talking about all the members of the PNR group over at Yahoo.  This is a great group of people and some of the conversations we have…they definitely bring a smile to my face more often than not.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. That Cole anthology cover is great. I know the headless torsos aren’t for everyone, but I’m just that kind of gal. Usually they appeal to me. Hey, we watch Johnny Depp’s Sleepy Hollow all the time, so that was a given with me. ;) I love that Headless Horseman. Besides, they usually get the guy’s looks totally wrong in the face on covers.

I was a tad disappointed to see that Darkness Burning was the 3rd in a series, but oh yes, it is a very nice cover. I need to check out the series now. As sonn as I can get through at least one entire series before starting another. We groans beneath the weight of the TBR pile!

And I agree, the members over at the PNR Yahoo group are great for book recs. Thanks for rec-ing Lurv, too!
