Look Who’s Going to RT: Brenda Pandos

Brenda PandosCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
I’m Brenda Pandos, YA/New Adult Paranormal romance writer, Wife, Mother, Computer Whisperer, Web/graphic designer, Chocolate connoisseur, Fun & Games Coordinator, Geek, Housekeeper, Laundress, Cook (occasionally), Chauffeur, Gardener, Nurse, and much more… and not in that order. I have 6 books published in two series’, The Talisman Series (The Sapphire Talisman) and Mer Tales (Everblue). And I live in California with my two boys and hubby, and an annoying tabby cat who fights to sit on my laptop while I work.

Can you introduce us to the world that you have created?
My vampire world stemmed from a blend of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lost Boys. I actually started writing on a whim in discovering of what my vampire story would be after the craze hit in 2010. Later, I ventured into the fascinating world of the mer because I’ve always wanted to be a mermaid since watching Splash. My underwater world Natatoria is nestled under the mantle of the earth and guarded heavily by mer’s posing as typical humans. But one kiss will bond your soul for life, so be careful.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This is my second year attending RT. It’s fun with so much to do and see, awesome people to meet, and goodies galore. Wear comfortable shoes, be prepared with appropriate costumes for each party you’ll attend, and bring an extra suitcase for all the goodies you’ll collect. Also remember there will be lots of time in line to wait for the next event, but it’s never without a chance to make new friends.

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to?
I will not be speaking, but I’ll be attending all the Young Adult events, which I’m highly looking forward to. It’s hard to decide which panels I’ll attend, but I try to mix in ones from famous authors to glean tips with craft workshops so I can improve my talents.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Please tweet me @brendapandos or leave me a message via facebook. I’ll be signing on the Indie day on Thursday and quite possibly on the big book day on Saturday. I am staying with Kristie Cook, Adult Paranormal Romance author and we plan to have a meet and greet in our room, so YES! Please get in touch with me! I’d love to meet you!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
