No Werewolves?

I saw on Facebook yesterday that MaryJanice Davidson is working on the next Queen Betsy novel, which will be called Undead and Unfinished.  That’s all I have though.  My guess is it’ll be out next summer since Undead and Unwelcome just came out (and I still need to read it).

Seriously, do I really need to say anything about the cover for this post?  You can thank SciFiGuy for this one, but Zombie Raccoons & Killer Bunnies???  Yeah, I have no words that describe what’s going through my head right now.  But seriously?  Zombie raccoons and killer bunnies?  What was going through the persons head who came up with this collection?  Katiebabs’ response was kind of amusing.  Monty Python anyone?

Interviews:

SciFiGuy found more information on the upcoming Inked anthology.  Namely the blurb, but you’ll have to wander over there to check it out.  :)  I still love the cover for Inked though.  It’s eye catching.

Keri Arthur has thrown up a snippet for the upcoming Bound to Shadows.  I so can’t wait for the next Riley novel!

Suburban Vampire has news on the Cirque du Freak movie.  Aside from the amazing image Catherine posted, it appears that the title has been changed to The Vampire’s Assistant and we’ll get to see it October 23rd instead of waiting for next year.

Cherie Priest has started up a new website in anticipation of her upcoming steampunk novel, Boneshaker, which comes out October 13, 2009.

New Upcoming Releases:
The second Night Tracker novel by Cheyenne McCray will be Werewolves Not Allowed.  No word on when it’s due to be released, but if you’re read Demons Not Included, then you’ll have a hint as to what’s coming.

I’m not sure if the release date has been mentioned before, but Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer will be out September 21, 2009.  Just the idea of Pinocchio as a vampire slayer has my curiosity up.

The third Allie Beckstrom novel, Magic in the Shadows, will be out November 3, 2009.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

OMG, you really MUST get ahold of Bunnicula! It’s a children’s book, a series actually. So very clever and funny!

RE: Zombie Racoon and Killer Bunny

Now this is wild. Author Lynda Hilburn just posted a photo of a VAMPIRE COW in her blog (6/28/09). What are these animals up to?! ;-)
