Good News Everyone!

Guess what! Literary Escapism was nominated for a BBAW Award for Best Speculative Fiction Blog (i.e. Fantasy/Horror/Sci-Fi/Spec-Fic). That’s exciting, now I have the problem of picking out 5 posts to submit to the judges in order for a chance to get on the shortlist.  Aahhhh!  I have to pick 5 of my posts that are beyond awesome????  Yeah…if only you could see me right now.

According to Jesse, I’m one of the most indecisive people he knows and he is not kidding.  So I need some help.  Was there a post that you really liked?  Was there one that stood out above the rest?

I’m going to be spending the next 25 hours browsing through the site, trying to find a review, newsletter, news post and two more that would be prize worthy so I can submit it to the Judges Panel.  If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. After all, it’s always hard to judge your own work.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.

  1. O.K., after some consideration, I think that you should go with the Demon King and I and Fantasy VS Speculative Fiction. I only went through the last couple of months of your posts, but those were ones that stood out for me.

Mind doing me a favor and telling me what posts of mine best exemplify Best New Blog? How do I showcase being new???

  2. Thanks JT! I like your choices.

I think I’m going to submit one review, a news post (probably the latest), a newsletter, a discussion topic and then a random one I liked. Probably another review. I figure that would give a good roundup of the site.
