Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
The Triton Experiment series: Hunting Kat, Fighting Kat
Enter the sci-fi romance world of intergalactic mercenary Kaitlyn Darah and Lt. Christopher Rygard. Shapeshifters, interspecies fighting arenas, and lingerie-stealing ferrets.
The London Undead series: Bite Me, Sing for the Dead, Survive to Dawn
Werewolves hunting zombies through the streets of London. The zombie apocalypse is barely contained within the quarantine surrounding London and the pack is barely keeping it in check.
Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
I’ve been to RT a few times now, but I learn so many new things every year I don’t think of myself as a veteran.
PJ tip: always carry a water bottle and some spare snack bars. There’s so much to do and so many authors to meet you might put sustenance at the end of your priority list.
Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
I’ll be a host author for the Intergalactic Bar & Grille and the Clockwork Carnivale Tea reader events. Stop by for lots of prizes and awesome goody bags. ;)
I’m moderating FANTASY: Breathing New Life Into It with some great authors and on panel for SCI-FI: It’s Not Easy Being Green: Writing Non-Human Characters.
I do plan to pop into some of the interesting writing craft panels and definitely hoping to catch a glimpse of some of my favorite authors (I’m a reader too!).
Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
Beignets! No really, this is my second visit to the city of New ORleans and I plan to hit Cafe du Monde more than once.
Also, I really enjoy crawfish and crawfish etouffe, so I’ll be out in search of the best locations to enjoy these.
If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
I love it when readers play Find the PJ. I tend to be in Thai silk suits during the day because I love the deeply brilliant colors of the fabric and corseted costumes for the evening balls and dinners. Please do stop me to say Hi. I love meeting people!
The 2014 RT Booklovers Convention will be held in New Orleans on May 13th – 18th at the Marriott hotel on Canal Street in the historic French Quarter. For the full list of attending authors, who will be signing at the Giant Book Fair on May 17th, here they are: All Authors, Young Adult Authors, and New Adult Authors.
