Look Who’s Going to RT: Ana Blaze

Ana BlazeCan you introduce yourself to my readers a little?
Hi! I’m Ana. I write contemporary, new adult and paranormal romance because I love happy endings. I adore romantic comedies, so I weave a lot of humor into my stories but I don’t skimp on the heat either.

I live in a suburb outside Washington DC with my husband and three rather pampered cats and dream of moving closer to the beach. When I’m not writing, I like reading (of course), cooking, and visiting Ikea.

My favorite vices are: television, Diet Coke, wine and cheese fondue.

Can you introduce us to the world(s) that you have created?
For Love and Other Games, I joined three other writers to create a fictional winter Olympic games in Switzerland. There’s an athlete’s village, parties just outside the village and lots of cool Swiss flavor.

One Lucky Night, an anthology releasing May 7, 2014, takes places at a family-owned pub in Boston. All the stories are interconnected and many of the characters are related. In order to be certain our stories didn’t contradict each other, we thoroughly designed the pub including menu offerings and uniforms. I, for one, would love to hang out at The Brazen Head.

Will this be your first RT or are you a veteran? Any advice for those who are going for the first time?
This will be my first RT and I am beyond excited!

Are you speaking on any panels during RT? Are there any you are looking forward to or are planning on attending?
I’m not speaking on any panels this year, but plan to attend as many as I can squeeze in. The schedule looks wonderful and I’m already stressing over some of the tough choices. I’d say I’m most interested in some of the New Adult panels.

Is there anything in particular you’re looking forward to or experiencing while in New Orleans?
This will be my first trip to New Orleans. I’ve wanted to visit for years, so I’m actually heading in a few days early so I can fit in some tourist stuff. Basically, I want to visit every place mentioned in the Ann Rice vampire novels (especially the graveyards) and try some fabulous NoLa food.

If someone were wanting to meet up with you at RT, who should they look for?
Since I’ll be a newbie trying to do it all, I’ll be the one with an ever-changing source of caffeine in my hand and the eyes as wide as a Disney princess. Offer me a sugar-free Redbull and you can be my new bestie.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
