So I’m a terrible person. Last week I chatted with Darynda Jones about her new release, Sixth Grave on the Edge, and told everyone that if they had any questions, to go ahead and leave them and I’ll ask during out chat.
The chat comes and I totally missed a couple that were left here on LE. *headsmack* My sincere apologies Rachel H and wildchild1954! That was not intentional, I promise. I could blame bedtime routines and RT hangover, but I won’t.
HOWEVER, you’re questions have not gone unanswered. Darynda was more than willing to answer them now and here they are:
How long do we have to wait for Charley and Reyes’s wedding — since we are sure she’s not going to say no.
Not long at all! :)
Is Cookie ever going to get a raise? Now that Charley is marrying the rich owner, will she be able to give Cookie a raise? I feel bad for her since she is raising a sooner than later high schooler/college student!
LOL, Cookie actually makes more than Charley lets on. They just kid about it, but Cookie is well taken care of. :)
Do we get to have a baby shower for Charley in the book? I wonder what you give the granddaughter of Satan? Haha!
Maybe in 8th. I haven’t decided yet. Gemma is really pushing for a wedding and a baby shower in 7th.
Hopefully I didn’t miss any other questions. If I did, please let me know!
If you missed the interview and haven’t seen it yet, I’ve posted it below. Sixth Grave on the Edge is now out, so if you haven’t gotten your hands on it yet, go forth and do so! For those who have read it, thoughts? Was it everything you wanted or was there something more you desired?
Few things in life can come between a grim reaper and her coffee, but the sexy, sultry son of Satan is one of them. Now that Reyes Farrow has asked for her hand, Charley Davidson feels it’s time to learn more about his past, but Reyes is reluctant to open up. When the official FBI file of his childhood abduction lands in her lap, Charley decides to go behind her mysterious beau’s back and conduct her own investigation. Because what could go wrong?
Unfortunately, another case has fallen into her lap—one with dangerous implications. Some very insistent men want Charley to hunt down a witness who is scheduled to testify against their boss, a major player in the local crime syndicate. If Charley doesn’t come up with an address in 48 hours, the people closest to her will start to disappear.
Add to that a desperate man in search of the soul he lost in a card game, a dogged mother determined to find the ghost of her son, and a beautiful, young Deaf boy haunted by his new ability to see the departed as clearly as he sees the living, and Charley has her hands full. The fact that Reyes has caught on to her latest venture only adds fuel to the inferno that he is. Good thing for Charley she’s used to multi-tasking and always up for a challenge…especially when that challenge comes in the form of Reyes Farrow.
