Short & Sweet, but Tye-Dye for Me

If you’re like me and haven’t gotten your hands on the season finale of True Blood, then you might want to hop over to Ace Showbiz.  They have a good rundown, although don’t quote me on that since I skipped it so I won’t be spoiled, as well as photos including two stills of Charlaine’s cameo.

Interviews:

  • Michelle Rowen, author of Tall Dark and Fangsome, by Bitten by Books
  • Kenric St. James, of Desire to Die For by Jessica Lee, at Patricia’s Vampire Notes
  • Jackson Rathborne, the actor who plays Jasper Hale in Twilight, by The Irish Twilight Sisters

Smart Bitches, Trashy Books is asking for those great time travel romance novels that were out years ago.  You know the ones, they had the postcards in the center of the book, usually during the intense romantic times.  What were your favorites?

Bitten by Books has another one of their great polls going on for the next couple of days.  This time they are looking for the Sexist Male Vampire and there are some pretty good choices.  For me, it’s a tossed up between Dimitri Belikov by Richelle Mead, Bones by Jeaniene Frost and Eric Northman by Charlaine Harris.

Book Blogger Appreciation Week News:
The Book Smugglers have a GREAT article on the upcoming Book Blogger Appreciation Week.  They talk about the actual judging process for the awards (which I can totally agree with since I was one of the judges for the Best Historical Blog category) and the intent behind the overall event.  Seriously, it’s a great post, go read it.

Do not forget to go vote for your favorite blogs at the BBAW voting booth!  Voting closes Saturday September 12 at 11:59 PM EST. Also for next week, there will be weekly writing topics that everyone can take part in.  Ian will be gone for the first couple of days, so I will be taking part in that for sure.  The list of topics has already been posted, so if you want in on the action as well, go check it out.

About Jackie 3282 Articles
I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
