Busy Mama

Today is the last post for the Weekly Geeks quotes and today’s think is all about the insanity – as in there is no rhyme or reason.

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. – Chili Davis

Insanity is doing the same thing again and expecting a different result. – Albert Einstein 1879-1955

Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened. – Jennifer Yane

I’m also drawing the name for the last BBAQ contest. The lucky winner who is walking away with a copy of Keri Arthur’s Full Moon Rising is…Serena from Savvy Verse & Wit.

So I went through and added more authors to the author website link I have in the menu bar. If anyone knows of someone who isn’t on there, let me know and they’ll get added. I try to add authors as I come across them, but it doesn’t always happen right away. At last count, I want to say there are 350+ authors of the list, so I’m not slacking too much.

Yesterday was the final day of the Book Blogger Appreciation Week and they finally gave out all of the awards. Literary Escapism wasn’t nominated (not that I was expecting it considering the competition), however, congratulations are in order for The Hidden Side of the Leaf for winning Best Challenge Host (although I bet you came in second for Best Meme/Carnival/Event). Woo Hoo!! If you want to see the complete list of winner, go check out OCD, vampires, and amusing rants. The entire list is posted over there.

Sorry I don’t have more for you guys today, but I just got back from taking my son to the doctors this morning and now I’m trying to get ready for my husband’s 10 year reunion tonight. It’s two hours away, so I haven’t had a moment to sit down, let alone check out what everyone is doing. Thankfully I got this stuff for you last night. Anyway, there’ll be more tomorrow or possible Monday since we’re going out of tonight today. I hope everyone had fun during the BBAW!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
