It’s time to start the next New Author Mini Challege and it’s a Battle Royale. Have you signed up for it yet? Do you have your books ready? Let’s see those details again:
- You do not have to be a participant of the New Authors Challenge, but if you’re not, why not?
- The Challenge will run from April 1st through the 30th. All reviews must have an April 2010 date.
- The goal is to read up to 5 different authors from the either list below. Write up a review on your blog and then come back to the official start post and add your link to Mr. Linky.
- The idea is to try a new author (it is a New Author mini-challenge), however, if you’ve already read all of the listed authors, you can still participant, but don’t re-read a novel. Try something new. Not only is this an excuse to try a certain group of authors, but it’s also a great chance to help promote them.
To add a little incentive for this mini-challenge, I’m going to offer up a prize. At the end of April, I’ll draw one winner from all the reviews posted to win their book of choice from an author whose site has the most reviews. As with the League challenge, each participant will have 10 chances to get their name in the drawing – 1 entry for each book reviewed (up to 5) and an additional entry for a second place you review said book. For instance, if you read Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur and review it on your blog and Amazon, you’ll get 2 entries. To add your links, add one to Mr. Linky and then leave your second link (of the same review) in the comments below. The contest is open to wherever the Book Depository delivers.
When adding your link to Mr Linky, please use the following format: your name (title of the book – author). Whether you want to put your name or your blog name is up to you. I’ll be closing Mr. Linky at 9pm EST on June 1st, so make sure all your links are added by then.
For a complete listing of all the authors involved, please check out the sign up page – I have a feeling this post will be getting a little on the long side before too long, so why add to it
Remember, this is a battle royale, so please add your link to whichever group your author belongs to. Let’s find out which site can get the most reviews!
