Sunday Surprise!

13 December 2009 Jackie 1

Awhile back, Ian and I went to a writer’s conference down in Monroe and came across three Michigan authors who had some really interesting fantasy novels for kids. I’ve been meaning to share them with everyone, however they’ve been buried on my desk. I’ve just rescued them from the pile and before they get lost again, here they are:

The Night the King Couldn’t Sleep by Molly Glad
Aware of the Wolf by David Anthony and Charles David (Knightscares #8)
Alien Ice Cream by David Anthony and Charles David (Heroes A2Z #1)

12 Blogs of Christmas – Day 2

13 December 2009 Jackie 137

I’m giving away all three of Judi Fennell’s Mer trilogy – In Over Her Head, Wild Blue Under and an ARC of Catch of a Lifetime as well as the anthology Four Dukes and a Devil, Stray by Rachel Vincent and an ARC of Annette McCleave’s Drawn Into Darkness (I know this one is out already, but this is what I have on my shelves) to two lucky readers. That’s right, I’ll draw two names, one for each grouping. Entering into the contest is fairly easy.

Flirting with Chaotic Dead

10 December 2009 Jackie 5

Check out the cover for Flirt that Tez Says found. I like this cover. Why do the Brits always have so much cooler covers on the novels that have really horrible US covers?

Dark Faerie Tales actually posted this a couple of days ago, but I’m a fan of this new series, so I wanted to post it again. Check out the cover Kalayna Price has for her second Haven novel, Twice Dead, which comes out February 23, 2010.

Jennifer Estep has a brand new urban fantasy series coming out January 26th titled Spider’s Bite and she has a prequel story available for free up at her site.
