Titles & Taken

Anya Bast has an excerpt up for her new novel, Taken.  In case you haven’t heard much about it yet, here’s the blurb.

Sometimes love knocks softly…and sometimes it breaks down your door.

Anne’s morning starts like any other normal day—and ends in a race for her life. The surprise that interrupts her regular date with a latte looks a lot like Frankenstein, except this monster is for real. And it chases her straight into the arms of two mouthwatering hunks who whisk her away from everything she knows. That would be Earth.

Suddenly life isn’t so normal anymore.

Caleb and Van have been watching Anne for several weeks. Women are scarce in their world, a situation that sometimes forces two or more males to share one wife between them. Anne is their perfect match. Now all they have to do is convince her of that—while trying desperately not to let their intense desire for her scare her away.

Then there’s the little matter of protecting her from the Guardians, who want to make sure no match is ever made…

There’s more bad news in the publishing industry, Realms of Fantasy magazine will be closing it’s doors, with April’s edition being the last one.

CONTEST ALERT -Karen Mahoney is giving away a copy of Melissa Marr’s third Fae novel, Fragile Eternity, as part of her debut over at Deadline Dames.  The deadline to enter is Jan 30th at 3pm PST, so get over there and enter if you’re interested.

Check out the new cover shininess for Jocelynn Drake.  The cover for Dayhunter, which will be released April 28, 2009, is the second novel in her Dark Days series.  I seriously enjoyed the first novel, Nightwalker, and I can’t wait for this one to come out.

Rachel Vincent has announced the title for her Werecat #5 novel.  It’s going to be Shift, but it’s not due out until March 2010.

Oh!  And speaking of new titles, once you get your copy of Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh, there’s a teaser for the second novel, Angels’ Kiss, in the back of the book.  And now we know what the second novel will be called – Angels’ Kiss.

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
