Lots of Contest Winners

contest winners

Contest WinnersSorry guys for not announcing these winners sooner. I so didn’t realize how bad I had gotten with LE until I started doing some updating yesterday. I’ve been spending the last 24 hours trying to rectify that. I think I’m caught up now, but if there’s a contest I have announced winners for, please let me know.

Before I get to the winners of the contests that have ended, I wanted to remind everyone about the current contests going on:

As for The Psy/Changling Read-a-long contests, that is still ongoing regardless of the fact all the discussions say it ended on June 20th.  So there are still 13 different chances to win. The contests will end once the discussion for Heart of Obsidian goes up, which will be whenever Courtney gets it to me. *grin*

And just as a heads up, I have a contest for a copy of Kelley Armstrong’s Thirteen going up in the next day, so don’t wander too far away.

Now on to the winners….

Sara Humphreys

I had the fabulous Sara Humphreys on Literary Escapism answering all sorts of questions regarding her Hearts of Anemoi series. While she was here, we gave away a copy of Untamed. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: If you could have your own sexy Amoveo mate, which clan would you want him to be from – Lion, Panther, Tiger, Cheetah, Wolf, Coyote, Fox, Bear, Falcon and Eagle – and why? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

SHELBIE K who said: It’s a hard decision for me, because I love me a wolf and panther! I think, ultimately I would have to go with the panther.

Why? They are dark, sexy, alluring, sleek, fast and predatory. They are a beautiful animal. Their eyes contrast with their body so beautifully – bright green against jade black. It reminds me of their nature; they look like a kitty, albeit a big one, on the outside, but the inside is all predator.

Congratulations Shelbie K!

Linda Poitevin

I had the fabulous Linda Poitevin on Literary Escapism discussing all the shadowy things that one sees. While she was here, we gave away 3 ecopies of Gwynneth Ever After. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Do you like it when your favorite authors cross the genre lines? Do you find it confusing, annoying, or intriguing? Would you prefer them to use pseudonyms? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

ALISON J who said: I think it’s great when an author writes in a different genre, and would actually discourage them from using a pseudonym. It’s an author’s writing style rather than a particular genre that makes me seek out more of their work. I’ve yet to meet the person who will only read one genre; and if I ever do meet that person, I will encourage them to broaden their horizons a little!

JENM who said: I know publishers have often insisted that writers use pseudonyms when they write in different genres but I’ve never understood why. It’s just one more way in which publishers don’t trust readers’ intelligence. I’d much rather be able to see a writer’s complete body of work, rather than trying to keep track of them under various names. Best wishes on the new release.

DIANE P who said: I like it when authors cross write. I read all kinds of genre so I think it is fun to find an author that does the same. Roberts/JD Robb definitely has a different voice for each genre, so you know which genre she is writing.

Congratulations Diane P, Alison J and JenM!

Alex Hughes

I had the fabulous Alex Hughes on Literary Escapism discussing all the shadowy things that one sees. While she was here, we gave away a copy of the first novel, Clean. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Do you think the laws of telepathy should be restricted to the same laws of physics? Are they a power unto themselves or is there a telepathic science? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

REBE who said: Hmm, I understand telepathy as the ability to read others’ thoughts and/or communicate through thought, so I don’t know that the laws of physics would affect that, unless buildings caused interference (think AM radio). BUT teleportation would have to defy the laws of physics, because how else would you move mass safely? I suggest we experiment with pigs.

Congratulations Rebe!

Laura Kaye

I had the fabulous Laura Kaye on Literary Escapism discussing all the shadowy things that one sees. While she was here, we gave away an ecopy of an Hearts of the Anemoi novel (winner’s choice), a set of Hearts of the Anemoi swag – romance trading cards from all three books, new bookmarks, magnets, and a tattoo. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: Who do you like as Chrys – DAVID OR JASON??? Or someone else altogether? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

SANDY who said: I like the image of Jason if I had to chose between the two. There are a few others I like …even one of the younger versions of Travis Fimmel…not the really young images…but the mid to late 20s

Congratulations Sandy!

C.H. Admirand

I had the fabulous C.H. Admirand on Literary Escapism discussing all the shadowy things that one sees. While she was here, we gave away a signed copy of One Day in Apple Grove. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: What is your favorite way to read? Hardcover, paperback, or e-reader? And do you prefer short stories, novellas, or novels? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

ERINF1 who said: Congrats to CH on the new releases :) My preference is still paperbacks but I’ve noticed that about 50% of what I read now is on the kindle. I’ll still read hardcovers but they aren’t my fav… b/c of price or size. And for the length of story, it definitely depends on my mood! Or if I’ve got time to invest in a full novel or just want to kill a bit of time and want a novella.

Congratulations erinf1!

Terry Spear

I had the fabulous Terry Spear on Literary Escapism discussing all the shadowy things that one sees. While she was here, we gave away a copy of A Howl for a Highlander. In order to enter, all anyone had to do was answer: If you could have a wolf or a jaguar shifter make the scary weather fade into the background, which would you prefer and why??? Now, without further ado, the winner is:

ORGINALSIN who said: I would like a wolf shifter . Why I have always loved wolves and if it was a Highland wolf so much the better.. giggles. That brogue could just make the weather disappear forever.. Or maybe it would be the fun and games we will be doing.. LOl. Is it getting hot in here??:D

Congratulations orginalsin!

I am a 30-something SAHM with two adorable boys and a supportive husband who is very tolerant of my reading addiction. I love to read and easily go through about a dozen books a month – well I did before I had kids. Now, not so much. After my first son was born, I began to take my hobby of reviewing a little more serious and started Literary Escapism to help with my sanity. I love to discuss the fabulous novels I’ve read and meeting all the wonderful people in the book blogging community has been amazing.
