So I recently mentioned on my own site that I picked up a Motorola Droid for my new job and have been playing with it relentlessly. One of the many things I like to do when I have a moment of downtime is browse the android marketplace – lots of interesting things in there (I browse just the free section currently).

Anyways, in the marketplace there is an app that looks like a star trek tricorder. When I first saw it, I downloaded it thinking it would be a neat little image display that I could taunt my friend, The General, with when I see him later this year (he’s a big trek fan). I didn’t expect the damn thing to actually *WORK*.

I love the Kindle Warranty Program. Seriously. I’ve only had my Kindle for less than 5 months and I’ve already had to replace the thing twice and they haven’t given me any problems both times. However, I think it’s time to realize that my Leather Cover isn’t as great as it could be. I know exactly what happened the first time around – it doesn’t like being dropped in a parking lot; however, I’m not really sure what happened this time around. It ended up with a nice crack on the case and while the screen was okay, I was concerned for the innards. I carry it around with me all the time in my purse and I’m thinking it’s not as protected as it could be. So I’m on the hunt for a new case.

Hopefully everyone is having a wonderful day (or will be) and are getting lots of books!

It is Christmas and everything so I thought I would share my latest desire…an office. Yesterday, I was attempting to clean my office for the upteenth time, and I started wishing I had an actual desk, someplace to score all the stuff I have. Yesterday, I was on Scene of the Blog over at Kittling Books, which has an older picture of my office, and while it’s nice…I’m ready for something that wasn’t pieced together over a few years. Then I started picturing the office I wanted.

Are you ready for Short Story Saturday’s to commence in one week? I have quite a few anthologies I can’t wait to dive into for this, but I keep finding more. Have you seen these yet?

I am on so many levels way behind on posting this. I humbly apologize to everyone and will get down on my knees and grovel if the need arises. I’ve been playing catch-up in a lot of areas (both on the blog and out of it) and I’m still trying to get through a lot.
