Look What Santa Brought by A. McKenna

13 November 2009 Jackie 0

I was in the mood for a quick romance and I just happened to have picked up Annmarie McKenna’s Look What Santa Brought, which was originally published in the anthology The Perfect Gift. Scott Wyatt knows what he wants for Christmas and it comes in a beautiful-voiced, make-his-heart-race, more than […]

One Lucky Cowboy by Carolyn Brown

12 November 2009 Jackie 1

The second novel in Carolyn Brown’s Lucky series, One Lucky Cowboy was a great read even though I hadn’t read the first novel, Lucky in Love. Jane Day is on the run from the paid assassin who had been her fiancé. In Wichita Falls, Texas, she meets Nellie Luckadeau, a […]

Cover Madness

12 November 2009 Jackie 3

Tez Says has posted the US cover for Aprilynne Pike’s followup to Wings. Spells will be released May 4, 2010.

Check out the cover for Kim Harrison’s Early to Death, Early to Rise, which is the second Madison Avery novel. This is the first I’ve heard of the title, and now we’re getting the cover as well. I found this over at Dark Faerie Tales, but for some reason, only my Google Reader is showing it and I can’t find it on her site anymore. Early to Death, Early to Rise will be released May 12, 2010.

Check out what has been posted. It’s the first chapter to Divine Misdemeanors! Just over a month and we’ll get this puppy in our hands. Yippee.

Flirt?

11 November 2009 Jackie 10

I was going to do a news post for you guys tonight, then I found this over at Tez Says. Yeah, I got a little side-tracked. It’s the cover for the 18th Anita Blake novel by Laurell K Hamilton. Can anyone figure out what the concept behind this is? This doesn’t give me any kind of a flirting impression and I’m not really sure what is up with that razor blade. It looks more like a serrated art deco non-danglingly woman part. Or that may just be me, but that was my first impression.

Three Days to Dead by K. Meding

11 November 2009 Jackie 3

The first novel in Kelly Meding’s new Dreg City series, Three Days to Dead, is a fabulous read and a great addition to the urban fantasy genre. She’s young, deadly, and hunted—with only three days to solve her own murder… When Evangeline Stone wakes up naked and bruised on a […]

Artist Spotlight: Agnieszka Szuba

11 November 2009 Jackie 2

VMoon Fairytale IVEvery so often, I come across an artist that I simply must share. It’s been awhile since I’ve done an artist spotlight, but when I came across Agnieszka Szuba, I knew I had to do one. I probably would have completely missed her if Richelle Mead hadn’t said she was the one behind the covers of her German Succubus novels. I mean, check out these covers…are they not hot?
